Dr Mehreen Mirza is Head of Social Science and Business at Newman University.  She is a member of the University’s Operations Team and a member of Senate.  Dr Mirza has held previous academic leadership and management roles, including serving as Associate Head of Institute with specific responsibility for Quality Assurance & Enhancement across the Arts and Humanities, and has been a member of University Executive and Academic Board.  She was also the Chair of the Gender Learning and Teaching Specialist Interest Group at the HEA Subject Centre for Sociology, Anthropology and Politics.  Her research interests focus on ‘race’, gender and education and she is currently co-editor of the Worcester Journal of Learning & Teaching.
